About Toolrack

Toolrack publishes free browser tools — converters, generators and calculators — for people who want the job done without uploading their files or creating an account.

Nothing leaves your device

Every tool here runs on browser APIs: canvas for image encoding, Web Crypto for hashing, FileReader for local file access. There is no upload endpoint because there is nothing to upload to. Load a page once and it keeps working with the network disconnected.

Where the numbers come from

Code limits cited on this site come from the International Residential Code (IRC) and International Building Code (IBC), which most of the United States adopts with local amendments. Material yields — bag volumes, concrete density, lumber dimensions — follow published manufacturer specifications and long-standing trade convention.

Local codes override everything here. A calculator cannot know which amendments your jurisdiction has adopted, so treat every result as a starting point to check, not a permit.

How the site is funded

The calculators are free and always will be. The site is paid for by display advertising and, where relevant, affiliate links to tools and materials. Affiliate links never change what a calculator recommends — the arithmetic does not know they exist.

Corrections

If a result looks wrong, it may well be. Send the inputs you used and what you expected via the contact page and it will be checked. Formula corrections are published with a dated note on the affected page.
